We work with networks, agencies, organizations and brands to create content for new media, webisodes, branded entertainment, and brand campaigns. Client: Current TV
After gaining popularity for the character (Eugene) that Third Floor created for the Toyota Prius spot – Current TV commissioned two TV specials, “Tips on How to Live With Your Girlfriend” and “How to Survive the South”. Third Floor wrote and produced each special for Current. Both aired on TV and can be viewed in full on Current’s website here and here.
Client: National Geographic Channel
Third Floor Productions developed, produced and edited 2 online promos for the National Geographic special "2012". The spots center around a video blogger who believes he will survive the 2012 destruction because of his preparation and will ultimately run for the "new king of the world"... The spot was featured on a CNN news piece that was about 2012 believers.
Client: CBS College Sports Network
Third Floor Productions wrote, produced and edited two promos that ran on-air and online for CBS College Sports Network during their March Madness 2009 coverage.
Client: In-house; original web series
Third Floor Productions developed, produced, and edited a ridiculous fake how-to series called “Dang!”. Seeding and syndicating each webisode in-house, TFP managed to build an audience and get featured on the front page of Apple's podcasting page. Billy Manson has been used in several client projects including promos for Next New Networks, and "viral" campaigns.
Client: National Geographic Channel
Third Floor Productions developed, produced and edited a series of 4 online promos for the National Geographic special "Expedition Grizzly". The concept was "How to Deal With a Bear When _____". Click to watch and perhaps learn on how to deal with your bear roommate.
Client: Toyota Prius
Third Floor Productions wrote, produced and edited a concept spot for the Toyota Prius. Toyota licensed the spot in late 2007 for cable and web. The spot has generated YouTube response videos, several comments from the target demographic, and character spinoffs.
Client: The Serious Sports Blog
Working with the comical sports commentators at The Serious Sports Blog, Third Floor has helped produce and edit comedy videos for their site. Working with Hayes Permar (used in several other TFP projects), he has mastered the role of the clever sports fan that has been used in many different projects (CBS College Sports spots, Speed Channel, XM Radio, Current TV). Client: XM Radio (concept spot)
Third Floor Productions developed, produced, and edited three concept spots for XM Radio.
Client: In-House
Third Floor wrote, produced and edited this concept spot to help market Sun Chips' new 100% compostable bags. The goal was to remain entertaining but also educate the viewers on what Sun Chips is doing to help the environment.
Client: National Campaign
Working with the National Campaign - Third Floor worked with a handful comedians lead by Danny Rouhier to produce a series of videos targeted a younger demographic to make them think (or rethink) how they're intimate. Third Floor handled all aspects of development and production, and also helped find the target audience online by seeding the videos to help gain views. So far over 550k views have been generated.
Client: Addy Awards
Third Floor Productions helped write, produce and edit an intro video for the Raleigh / Durham Addy Awards in 2010. Taking on the theme “under the influence”, the idea was to poke fun at ad agency formalities, the way pitches are made, and how older ideas always seem to influence one another. PS: the end is worth the watch…
Client: V-Cast
Third Floor Productions developed, produced, and edited a short comedy piece. Verizon Wireless licensed "Old Friends" to be distributed through their mobile V-Cast service.
Client: Speed Channel
Third Floor Productions developed, produced and edited a viral promo for the television show "Livin' the Low Life". The spot was seeded on the web to spark interest in the show, drive viewers to tune in, and send them to Speed's website.
Client: Travel Channel
Third Floor Productions has worked with Travel Channel to produce over 450 webisodes and mobile videos for a number of their on-air programs. Third Floor has done everything from reversioning existing shows, shoot original webisodes, and even edit original webisodes from footage that was cut from the shows. In addition to the production and post work - Third Floor helped with categorizing, tagging and fully delivering the videos so they were ready when Travel Channel relaunched their website.
Client: Speed Channel
Third Floor Productions produced and edited three webisodes for Speed Channel. Speed held a casting call to find their next on-air talent to travel with the "Speed Road Tour". These webisodes were shown on the web to build up interest till the winners were announced at Daytona 500.
Client: Investigation Discovery
Working with parent company Story House Productions and cable network Investigation Discovery, Third Floor worked to put together a series of webisodes for the television series "Real Interrogations".
Client: Innovation Management
Third Floor Productions wrote, produced, and edited a video that was used to creatively show the capabilities of Innovation Management, a branding and strategy firm based in Chapel Hill. To accomplish the look TFP took thousands of still photographs, and used flashlights to help tell iM's story.
